Bonnie Bommelje

Originally from Charlotte, NC, Bonnie attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte for Mechanical Engineering, graduating summa cum laude with a concentration in Motorsports. Her passion for the automotive industry led her to begin her career at BMW Manufacturing in South Carolina.

She started in technical roles for Total Vehicle Validation for Drivetrain and Chassis components, then added project integration responsibility which led her to an expatriate assignment at BMW Group in Munich. After the launch of the X5 (G05), she developed the Electronic/Electric Quality Engineering roles and then moved into Production Management. Combining her technical background, experience in quality, and leadership skills, Bonnie is now the Assembly Quality Manager responsible for a variety of quality functions within Plant Spartanburg.
