Graduate Program Information

The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Science offers multidisciplinary programs leading to Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering. Our students are provided with breadth of knowledge in Mechanical Engineering and depth of knowledge in their chosen research area. Our objectives are:

  • To provide students with the opportunity to develop a breadth of knowledge in mechanical engineering so that they can adapt to the changing requirements of the technological workplace.
  • To develop engineering researchers who can contribute to the development of new knowledge and the dissemination of best practices in academic, industrial, and government environments.
  • To prepare graduates for personal and professional success, both as individuals and in team environments.

Our faculty are experts in their fields and enjoy both national and international prestige. Graduates work closely with their faculty advisor as they conduct research and continue to develop academically and professionally.
